A Gable is a great addition to a Patio Cover design, giving the Patio Cover a very contemporary look whilst allowing for better ventilation of hot air and increased head height. The size of the gable can also be varied to suit your outdoor area.

Consider the incorporation of side ‘wings’ (a flat section on either side of the gable) to add even more functionality and style to your facade. ‘Wings’ added to your gable will also promote better waterproofing which can be a difficulty with this design.

Alternatives do exist if you are wanting to achieve extra head height, hot air ventilation (a common objective) or simply some ‘pizzazz’. Consider a Flyover patio cover as possibly a more cost-effective, better-looking option.
